A Writng Adventure
Harry Potter should not be banned at all. Schools around the world are looking for reasons to ban Harry Potter from their school libraries. In most schools Harry Potter is painted as evil witchcraft and is bad for the children. Most of these accusations are ridiculous and most come from standpoints of one who hasn't read the series There are so many themes in Harry Potter that are explored that children need to learn. Such as: dealing with sibling rivalry, dealing with our friends perception of us, dealing with envy, having less money than we would want, listening to constructive feedback, the need of young people to be included and involved, coping with past traumas, bullying, working with adults, supporting friends, recognising injustice, courage, taking responsibility for one's actions and many more. For example, in one of the books in the series when Harry gets put in situations when curiosity got the best of him such as when he takes Tom Riddle's diary, decides to follow Haggard, and many more just for most children mirror them, Harry Potter brings out the adventure in all of us Harry Potter shows children that good can overtake evil. J.K Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, explores all of these key themes in such a way that children can understand them.Harry Potter is a fantasy book and is not real. But some people argue that it promotes witchcraft and the supernatural. They also argue that it portrays children as being as powerful as adults. Many parents also love the Harry Potter books, in fact my own mother was the person who introduced me to the series. And in a lot of families, reading Harry Potter together becomes a practice every night that kids look forward to. Many parents will read the books to their young children bit by bit every night. After reviewing all this I believe Harry Potter should not be banned I was introduced into the series when I was in 5th grade and I'm fine today, these books only help, not hurt.
